InLine Engineering, Inc. has provided consulting and structural engineering documents for numerous homes in the hills of San Carlos, Belmont, San Mateo, Portola Valley, Woodside, Hillsborough, Los Altos Hills and adjacent Bay Area locations. InLine has furnished plans and calculations for numerous additions and retrofit projects for hillside buildings as well as for new homes. We have also been involved in smaller repair or remodel projects with homes located on the sloped lots.
We have addressed particular problems that occur on the hillside homes: soil conditions, retaining walls, drainage, special foundation requirements, bracing of the tall decks, vertical and lateral design of the main structure. InLine has worked directly for homeowners, architects and contractors on these projects.
During the design phase, we work closely with the owner, contractor and the architect. Our understanding and experience in dealing with hillside properties and our knowledge of present codes and building requirements gives the most demanding client confidence when hiring InLine.
