Screen Walls

Screen walls are commonly constructed from concrete or masonry.  The footings are normally centered below the stem and are made from spread footings or concrete piers.  Some screen walls are very long and a slight savings in construction cost can provide significant savings.  The forces to the overturning wall are from wind or seismic and the Building Code provides specific procedures for design.
